Editorial Policy — How We Keep This Accurate
Medicare decisions are high-stakes, so accuracy matters. Every page here is written and reviewed by a licensed Medicare agent, sourced from official government references (Medicare.gov, CMS, Social Security, IRS), and built so the year’s official figures live in one place and update everywhere at once. Here’s exactly how that works.
Choosing Medicare coverage is a Your-Money-Your-Life decision. You deserve information you can trust. This page explains exactly how we research, write, review, and maintain the Medicare content on this site — and how to reach us if something looks wrong.
Who Writes This
The Medicare content here is written and reviewed by Rocco DeLuca, a licensed Medicare insurance agent who lives and works in Vernal and serves the Uintah Basin. It reflects real, hands-on experience helping local beneficiaries enroll, compare, and solve problems year-round — not a national content mill. See Rocco’s credentials.
Where the Facts Come From
For anything factual — premiums, deductibles, IRMAA brackets, drug caps, enrollment windows, penalties — we use primary, official sources only:
- Medicare.gov — the official U.S. government site for Medicare.
- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) — the agency that sets the annual figures.
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) — Part B premiums, IRMAA, and enrollment.
- The IRS — for the income (MAGI) rules that drive IRMAA.
We cite these sources on the pages where they apply. We don’t publish figures we can’t tie back to an official release.
How We Keep the Numbers Current
Medicare’s numbers change every year. To make sure a stale figure can’t linger in one forgotten corner of the site, every official figure lives in a single source of truth — one data file that holds that year’s CMS and SSA numbers. Every page, calculator, and comparison reads from it. When CMS publishes new figures, we update that one place and every page corrects at once. It’s the same discipline that keeps our calculators and our written guides in perfect agreement.
How Pages Are Reviewed & Updated
- Reviewed by a licensed agent. Content is reviewed by Rocco before it’s published, and each page carries a “Last updated” date in its byline.
- Refreshed annually. We review the figures every year as CMS and SSA release them, and sooner if an official mid-year change is announced.
- Corrections welcome. If you find something wrong or out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it quickly.
Our Independence & Compliance
We’re a local, independent agency — not the government. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Our guidance is educational and general; your best choice depends on your specific situation, which is why we offer free one-on-one help. There’s no cost to you for that help — licensed agents are paid by the insurance carriers, and your premium doesn’t change whether you enroll through us or on your own. For all of your options, contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY: 711).
